Porchfest, Troy, Ohio (September 14, 2024)

Went to this for the first time last year, had a great time then, and certainly did so again this year. Troy is a beautiful city with very friendly people (and they made great choices politically, saw a lot of Harris signs, very few tRUMP). 

A number of musicians and bands played on local porches before some very happy crowds (one of which can be seen at left. 

Some of the musicians can be seen below. They had 6 groups on six porches each hour for six hours. Was very good and enjoyed it a great deal. 

Yes, I am looking forward to seeing this again in 2025. Thanks for Troy, Ohio for the fantastic time!

 

 

Morning Blue Heron (September 9, 2024)

 On a beautiful Monday morning, I was up earlier than usual. Took a walk to the lake, and saw this sight while wandering around the area. Made me very happy on a Monday morning.  

Sights in the Neighborhood (September 1-2, 2024)

Love living in Ohio, where there are amazing things to see and do. Last couple of days have seen some very beautiful sights. The White Squirrel was a cool sight. Rare, though have seen them before, but not very often. 

Out in Huber Heights yesterday saw the horses,. Always enjoy seeing them, very majestic. 

As for the Blue Heron that was over a two day period. Saw it in flight at the lakes near the house on September 1. Saw it in the water on September 2. Just a beautiful and majestic bird.     

 

Louisville/Rising Sun (August 25-29, 2024)

After a couple of days at home, got back out on the road and visited friends and family in Louisville, Kentucky. Saw some of the sights there. Louisville is a very beautiful city with a lot to see and do, and to the best of our ability and in the short time we had of a couple of days, we did it. 

Lots of history in Louisville, and many things to see. We explored the historic Cave Hill Cemetery, went by the Louisville Slugger factory and saw some of the sights all over town. Even enjoyed a few good meals. It was a great time and looking forward to our next visit. 

Just have one photo from Rising Sun, a very early morning photo taken of the Ohio River. Had a great time there though for three days as it is one of our favorite places in Indiana.
