Sights in Southern Indiana (July 24-28, 2024)

Was out in Rising Sun, Aurora and Lawrenceburg Indiana for a few days. One morning got this photo of the Great Blue Heron. Have taken a few over the years of these amazing birds, but this one is one of the best I have seen. Beautiful color.

Group photo at bottom of the rabbit, art in Aurora and a couple of photos of the motorcycle. The motorcycle can be seen at a store in Aurora called "Hippie Bob's" and was built by the motorcycle designer and builder Indian Larry. Have only seen one other over the years and thought this was pretty cool.

Always interesting sights to see in these towns along the Ohio River.

Grand Lake St. Mary's (July 19, 2024)

On an amazing Friday we took a drive to the largest lake in Ohio, and had a wonderful time. Low temperature and low humidity with a high of 80 on this July day.

Saw some amazing sights, had a fine lunch by the water and not only enjoyed the lake views, but also a fantastic drive. Got there via highway, came back via back roads.

It was our third visit to the area, and looking forward to the next one.

Thanks for visiting my pages, and be sure to Vote Blue this year.

Barnstorming Carnival (July 13, 2024)

On a warm and toasty Saturday morning, got up early and drove to Springfield, Ohio for the Barnstorming Carnival. It was I believe the 10th year for this event.
Had a Pancake breakfast there, and checked out some amazing planes. Believe this was my third year to go.
In the past have flown on one of the biplanes (it was a 1928 Travel Air) which can be seen on a previous post a few years ago. Amazing experience and a first for me on a plane with two wings.
Had a great time as usual and these are just a very few of the amazing sights there. Admission was free and a great time was had by all attending. Looking forward to returning to this event in 2025.

West Virginia and Maryland (November 12-15, 2024)

Sights during our travels in West Virginia, Maryland, and even a stop (at John and Annie Glenn's house in Ohio) over a four day trip to ...
